Date 2015-10-23

(October 23, 2015, Shanghai) On October 21, 2015, Hilong’s subsidiary Hilong Marine Enginnering (Hong Kong) Limited executed a memorandum of collaboration in Kuala Lumpur with PBJV Group Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Barakah Offshore Petroleum Berhad. Both parties will work together on offshore structures transportation and installation, offshore pipe laying as well as the design, procurement, installation and testing of projects related to the exploitation of marine oil and gas. This marks another step forward by Hilong in its going-global process and its development of offshore engineering.

Wang Tao, Executive President of Hilong, said that PBJV possessed a Petronas license and a broad local resources network, while Hilong came with a prominent track record of having powerful marine equipment, excellent project management and leading marine design. By collaborating, the two parties will complement each other with their own strengths and provide clients with high quality EPC solutions together at the new age of the oil and gas industry.

“We strongly believe that through this mutual collaboration, both parties will strengthen their positions in the marine transport and installation market, and further create abundant economic benefits for existing and potential clients”, said Rasdee Abdullah, President and CEO of PBJV.
On that day, Hilong also held an opening ceremony for Hilong Marine Enginnering (Hong Kong) Limited Kuala Lumpur Office in Kuala Lumpur. Guests from Barakah, PBJV, Shell, Murphy, Saipem, Technip, Brooke and other enterprises jointly celebrated the ceremony with Hilong.
