Hilong Signs Pre-Award Charter Agreement With Saipem Indonesia To Provide Heavy-Lift And Pipe-Lay Support For Bp Tangguh, Offshore Indonesia

(November 22, 2016, Shanghai) Hilong Petroleum Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. (Hilong Offshore Engineering) is pleased to announce that it has signed a Pre-Award Agreement with P.T. Saipem Indonesia on November 9, 2016 for the charter of Hilong’s H106 heavy-lift & pipe-lay barge for the installation of the BP Tangguh offshore wellhead platforms and subsea CRA lined pipelines.

 

This contract provides Hilong Offshore Engineering with an order book and backlog for 2018, the scope of which will involve mobilisation of the H106 during Q2/3 2018 to the Tangguh field located offshore Papua Indonesia, where the vessel will be used extensively to install platform jackets, topsides, CRA-clad and concrete-coated pipelines. In addition, the H106 may also be used to install composite subsea cables.

 

This pre-award from Saipem, a renowned international oil and gas EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation & Commissioning) contractor, is a significant milestone for Hilong and Hilong Offshore Engineering’s Team and Management, marking the full trust placed by Saipem’s management in the performance capability of H106 vessel, people and organisation. Meanwhile, the BP Tangguh project will add considerable experience and greater credibility to Hilong.
